Minister of Trade Budi Santoso is confident that the target transaction value of the 12.12 National Online Shopping Day (Harbolnas) 2024 can reach the target set by the government of Rp 40 trillion. This is reinforced by the moment of Christmas and New Year, which every year there is always a significant increase in people's purchasing power.
This value jumped from the realization of the 2023 Harbolnas period transaction of IDR 25.7 trillion. The higher target is set in line with the longer Harbolnas period. This year, Harbolnas will be held for 7 full days, from December 10 to 16. This is longer than the previous years' Harbolnas which was only held for 3 days.
On the other hand, the government estimates that the value of electronic commerce (e-commerce) transactions during the National Online Shopping Day (Harbolnas) in 2024 will reach Rp487 trillion. This figure increased significantly from the previous year's Rp453 trillion. This is supported by the increasing number of e-commerce platform users in Indonesia. In 2024, the number is estimated to reach 65.65 million users, an increase of 11.9 percent from 2023 of 58.63 million users.
