Dashcams, or dashboard cameras, are becoming increasingly popular among car owners due to their usefulness in recording events on the road. The operation of dashcams is quite simple yet very effective in providing additional safety for drivers.

Dashcams are typically installed on the windshield or dashboard of the car. The installed camera will automatically start recording once the car engine is turned on. Dashcams are capable of recording all events that occur in front of the car during the journey.

Some dashcams even have dual-channel features that allow recording from two directions. The recorded video is stored in a memory card, usually a MicroSD card.

Currently, dashcams have loop recording features that ensure storage space never fills up. When the memory card is full, the dashcam will automatically overwrite the oldest video files with new ones. Some dashcams even come with GPS to track the vehicle's location and speed and G-sensors to detect impacts.

With these various features, dashcams are not only helpful in recording daily journeys but also serve as important evidence in accident cases or other unexpected incidents on the road.
