Good news! The government provides a 50% discount on electricity tariffs as an incentive to increase VAT to 12% which applies specifically for January and February 2025. Reporting from the @pln_id Instagram account, this promo applies to household customers with 450 VA to 2,200 VA power.

As for postpaid customers, this discount automatically reduces January usage paid on the February 2025 account and February usage paid on the March 2025 account. Meanwhile, for prepaid or token electricity customers, the discount is given directly at the time of purchase for January and February.

Here's How to Buy 50% Discount Electricity Tokens

Purchasing electricity tokens with a 50% discount can be done anywhere such as minimarkets, retailers, agents, e-commerce, and PLN Mobile. It should be noted that customers do not need to do any registration. Discounts will be made automatically by PLN's digital system

How to buy electricity tokens through PLN Mobile:

1. Open the PLN Mobile application
2. Select the 'Electricity' menu
3. Click on the 'Token and Payment' feature
4. Select Customer ID Number or Meter Number
5. Click on 'Buy Token'
6. Select the token amount then click 'Buy'
7. Click 'Continue Payment'
8. Select the payment method you would like to use, click 'Pay'
9. The payment deadline will appear, complete the payment.
10. If successful, select 'View My Transaction'
11. You will then be connected to the transaction history page
